As our master craftsman, Luigi is responsible for cutting the leather, the very first and most essential step in the creation of Italian shoes. With years of experience and a precise eye for detail, he carefully shapes each piece, laying the foundation for quality, structure, and durability.

With steady hands and a trained eye, Socio does more than assemble shoes — he refines them. Every sole he perfects, every seam he inspects, is guided by care, precision, and a deep respect for Italian shoemaking tradition.
He speaks little while he works — not out of silence, but out of focus. For Socio, the leather guides the process. The shoe reveals when it has reached its final form. And when he holds a completed pair, he is not only checking quality — he is honoring the craftsmanship behind it.

MEET GIANCARLO
Giancarlo is the founder and driving force behind our company. After many years of experience in shoe manufacturing, he decided to establish SHALAPI with a clear vision shaped by deep industry knowledge and passion for craftsmanship.
Throughout his career, he attended major international footwear exhibitions such as Pitti Uomo and MICAM Milano, gaining valuable insight into global trends, design evolution, and market standards.
Prior to founding the company, Giancarlo served as manager of De Mella, where he collaborated with shoe manufacturers and brands from around the world. These experiences broadened his perspective and enriched his understanding of the many technical, creative, and commercial aspects of shoemaking.
His journey, built on expertise, international exposure, and dedication to quality, laid the foundation for what SHALAPI represents today
